Squee first? Hello, Aki (oh, and hi thar, Yuuya). *_* I'm not sure what I think of his hair Imightlikeit, but his EYES. Pretty.
Not-so-squee second:
Jake died on Monday. For those who haven't heard me ramble about Jake, he was my neighbor's dog. He was a border collie/Bernese mountain dog mix, with the Bernese's colors and temperament, and the border collie's body (with a slightly deeper chest), and so calm andmostly well-behaved. His best friend was a calico cat named Annie. I loved seeing the two of them together because their colors are so similar. Every night, when Jake was lying down for the night, she'd go over and lick his head. XD
My neighbor found a tumor in his leg early this year, and decided to just make sure the rest of his time was as happy and comfortable as possible, rather than spending a ton of money on chemo, which would've just prolonged his life a few months. She turned down a part-time job (she's already retired, though) to stay with him, and invented projects for her yard so that he could spend more time outside. Last month she said that he probably just had a month left, so it wasn't surprising to hear he'd passed away. But well, I guess I feel like I sort of grew up with him. When I was younger, I'd go over to her house just to take him for walks, and once or twice I took care of him when my neighbor was on vacation.
Ah, well. I think she definitely did all she could to make sure he enjoyed his last months as much as he could, and there's a great deal of comfort in that.
What is up with the 80 degree weather in APRIL, NorCal? Blegh. More than that, what's up with the 20 degree drop for tomorrow?
Also, I've been horrible at commenting on people's posts, but I will try to... maybe actually do that now. XD
